Each is a goal for every Scout. A Scout tries to live up to the Law every day. It is not always easy to do\, but a Scout always tries.\nA Scout is:\n• TRUSTWORTHY. Tell the truth and keep promises. People can depend on you.\n• LOYAL. Show that you care about your family\, friends\, Scout leaders\, school\, and country.\n• HELPFUL. Volunteer to help others without expecting a reward.\n• FRIENDLY. Be a friend to everyone\, even people who are very different from you.\n• COURTEOUS. Help keep your home and community clean.\n• REVERENT. Be reverent toward God. Be faithful in your religious duties. Respect the beliefs of others.\nCub Scout Sign\nThe Cub Scout sign is made with the right arm held high and straight up above the shoulder\, with the index and middle fingers forming a V. The other fingers are held down by the thumb. It’s the sign of Cub Scouts all over the world. The two raised fingers stand for the Scout Oath and the Scout Law. The fingers look like the sharp ears of the wolf ready to listen to Akela! Leaders and boys/girls should give the Cub Scout sign when repeating the Scout Oath or the Scout Law. The sign is also used in the Living Circle and other ceremonies.\nCub Scout Handshake\nThe Cub Scout handshake is made by putting the index and middle fingers of the right hand against the other person’s wrist when shaking hands. The handshake means that each Scout will help others to remember and obey the Scout Oath and Scout Law.\nCub Scout Motto\nDo your best.\nCub Scout Salute\nThe Cub Scout salute is made by joining the index and middle fingers of the right hand (holding the other fingers with the thumb) and touching them to the cap visor or forehead above the right eyebrow. The hand is held the same as for the Cub Scout sign\, except the index and middle fingers are together. The salute is used to salute the flag when in uniform–otherwise hold your right hand over your heart. It can also be used when greeting other Scouts.\nGames Tigers Play Required Adventure:\nAdventure Goal: Young Tigers can have a difficult time with competition\, and winning and losing. This adventure can help them develop appropriate sportsmanship\, teamwork\, listening\, and following rules.\nAdventure Requirements:\nComplete Requirements 1 and 2 plus at least two others.\n1) a) Play two initiative or team-building games with the members of your den.\nb) Listen carefully to your leader while the rules are being explained\, and follow directions when playing.\nc) At the end of the game\, talk with the leader about what you learned when you played the game. SUMMARY:Popcorn Show and Sell - Kroger @ 1938 West Gray
DESCRIPTION:All Pack 55 Families\,\nIt is popcorn time\, and we need your help selling popcorn this season! Popcorn is our primary fundraiser each year\, and a successful popcorn season allows us to defray the real cost of scouting programs and campouts to keep our annual dues low. 30% of the popcorn sales come back to Pack 55\, which we use for exciting scouting programs throughout the year. Our goal is 100% scout participation. Help us achieve this goal by working with your scout to sell popcorn at a Show and Sell\, in your neighborhood\, or online to family members on the other side of the country. Every dollar counts!\nLet’s make this Show and Sell a great one. Signup at the link below for your scout to sell popcorn with other members of the pack. Come in your Class A (blue/khaki) uniform. Scouts will have fun making a sales pitch to shoppers entering the store and telling them about why Cub Scouts is fun\, and why they should buy some popcorn to support Pack 55. We will meet at Kroger @ 1938 West Gray from 8 AM – Noon. Sales from this event can be counted toward your scout’s sales goal.\nSignup your Motivated Popcorn Selling Scout here:\nAlso\, we will need a volunteer to help bring product from the scout closet at SJD to Kroger in the morning and another volunteer to bring any leftover product back to the scout closet at SJD. Those volunteers can signup using the same link above.\nCome have some fun and earn some money to help support your pack!
