WHO: Must hold First Class Rank and be 13 years old or older.
COST: TBD (There will likely be a small cost to cover consumables and lunch for the group)
PREREQUISITES:
- Read First Aid Merit Badge Pamphlet entirely
- Review First Aid sections of your Scout Handbook
- BRING TO CLASS: Requirement 2(b)(1): Assemble a personal first-aid kit for hiking and backpacking. Demonstrate the proper use of each item in your first-aid kit to your counselor.
- Requirement 15(c) Identify three career opportunities that would use skills and knowledge in emergency medical services. Pick one and research the training, education, certification requirements, experience, and expenses associated with entering the field. Research the prospects for employment, starting salary, advancement opportunities, and career goals associated with this career. Discuss what you learned with your counselor and whether you might be interested in this career.
