My name is Colton Thompson, a former ASPL and current Troop Guide to Chunky Monkey Patrol. On April 26th, I will be holding my Eagle Scout project at Woodland Park.
For my project, we will be removing trash in the bayou area of the park with a particular focus on plastic high up in trees. The project counts as conservation hours and for scouts who went on the Lake Saimaa Canoe Trek or are going on Philmont 2025, it will be allowed to count towards the 50 Miler award.
The project will be two sessions from 9 am to 12 pm and 12 pm to 3 pm, with lunch provided in between. It’s not necessary to attend both, but if you can it would be greatly appreciated. Due to the scale of the project, a large number of volunteers would be great.
